Yes we can print from all other applications like word and excel and notepad, only get the printer not ready in outlook. However, unlike NVRAM initialization, a cold reset does not reset the page count, the paper tray sizes, language, or formatter number. In order to remove the driver you will need to stop the print spooler and restart it so open the task manager and end the task for 'print spooler' then restart it.
